Badpuppy Commits to Promoting ASACP

LOS ANGELES — Gay adult website Badpuppy has taken on the task of promoting ASACP across its Internet properties.

“After speaking with ASACP CEO Joan Irvine at the Phoenix Forum, we decided that we wanted to do all that we could, above and beyond a company or member sponsorship, in which to show support for ASACP,” said Lisa Turner, longtime marketing, advertising and affiliate manager for Badpuppy. “Their mission is so very important in not only protecting the children, but protecting our rights in the industry and the consumer rights to enjoy the adult content they rightfully enjoy.”

Badpuppy plans to educate webmasters who may not be familiar with ASACP, as well as sharing that same education with the consumers who frequent Badpuppy sites.

“Even small donations can help ASACP to run its child pornography reporting hotline and provide the Restricted to Adults — RTA website label which protects children from being exposed to age-inappropriate material while protecting the rights to enjoy adult entertainment,” ASACP CEO Joan Irvine said. “As with other companies, today’s economy is having a negative impact on contributions to ASACP. So we’ve been looking for additional revenue sources, but because ASACP is mainly funded by the adult industry, the sources are limited," Irvine said. "People are always asking what they can do to help support the ASACP child protection mission, in addition to becoming a sponsor or member. But few have taken it to heart as Lisa Turner at Badpuppy. Badpuppy has created a comprehensive program that uses almost every one of their properties to spread the word about the ASACP’s child protection effort, educate their webmasters, and request contribution from their members. ASACP is incredibly grateful to Badpuppy for their support.”

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online.
